The earliest known Brown ancestor was Jesse Brown. He died in Stoddard county, Missouri in 1840. Nothing is known about where he came from or what he did. There have been no land records found. No probate records found.
We do know that he married Mary Crites and had at least 4 children.
After the death of Jesse Brown Mary moved with her siblings to Pope county,Arkansas in
the mid 1840's. Where she had 2 other children which will be explored in the Crites
family.
Jesse was born about 1810 in either Kentucky or Missouri and died about 1840. He married
Mary Crites about 1830. She was born about 1811 in Missouri to Abraham and Susanna Crites and
died after 1880. Mary and Jesse had the following children.
2. Mary Angeline "Polly" Brown
5. Allen Lincoln Brown (There is talk that he was not the son of Jesse. I will include him for now until the source can be found)
