The earliest known Parson is James Alfred Parson. Not much is known about this family. I will put up what I have been able to find out.
James Alfred Parson was born 1844 in North Carolina and died 1905 of Typhoid in Craighead county, Arkansas. He was married at least twice. The first to Mary Wells and second to Laura ?. He had possibly a total of 11 children. His first wife Mary Wells was born about 1843 in North Carolina and died 1888 in Gwinnett county, Georgia. He married Laura before 1900. Laura had married Mark Hinton by 1910. James is buried in Trinity Cemetery, Craighead county, Arkansas. Stone is marked J. A. Parsons.
James was possibly married a third time. Upon looking at census information he had a daughter named mary who was born about 1866. She was not a child of Mary Wells. Mary and James did not get married untill some time after 1870. She was already a widow living with her father in 1870. I have not had any luck looking for James in 1870. Child of James and Unknown
