ODEN Funeral services for James Cornelius "Corky" Oden, 74, of Jonesboro, who died Monday Jan. 14 at St. Bernard's Medical Center, wil be held at 1 P. M. Thursday in the chapel of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. The Rev. Tony Reynolds, the Rev. Richard Smoak, the Rev. Rick Dowden and the Rev. Melvin Davis will officiate, and burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Floyd Gerl, Mike Smith, Christopher Smith, Matthew Walker, Paul Davis and Nathaniel Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will include Shawn Cook, Jeremy Chamliss, Ricky Lovins, and Loren Hurst. A longtime resident of Jonesboro, he was the owner of Corky's appliance Repair serviceand was an active member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife Willene Oden of the home; three daughters, Margie Smith of Russellville and Jan Davis and Cathey Walker, both of Jonesboro; two brothers Alfred Oden and Willie Oden, both of Jonesboro; four sisters, Margaret Lovins, Mildred Weston, Ruby Davis, and Shirley Curtis all of Jonesboro and six grandchildren, Christy Cook, Paul Davis, Matthew Walker and Stephanie Walker all of Jonesboro and Christopher Smith and Nathaniel Smith of Russelville.Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m today at the funeral home.
