O.O. ODEN

Oren O. Oden, 74, of Bay, died early Wednesday morning at his home.

Born in Craighead county, he was a baptist, veteran of WWI and former constable and deputy sheriff at Bay for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Marie Oden of Jonesboro, one son, Oren Oden, Jr. of Austin , Texas; one step-son Benny Aaron of Jonesboro,; six daughters, Mrs. Herbert Rudden of Bay, Mrs. Lynn Pafford of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Mary Bennett of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Joe Williams of El Dorado, Mrs. Doyle Holman of Trumann, Mrs. Monroe Dorton of Jonesboro; one sister, Mrs. Omar Sears of Jonesboro Route 2; two brothers Vernon Oden of Jonesboro Route 6, Arthur Oden of California; 9 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Farmers Union chapel with Elder Henry Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Pafford, E. J. Bennett, Herbert Rudder, Joe Williams, Doyle Holman and Monroe Dorton.

He was also a member of the Trumann American Legion post.
