Vernon Oden,77, 1109 Raines,died this morning at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born in Arkansas , was a retired farmer and had spent most of his life in the Jonesboro area.
Survivors include three sons, Cornillouis Oden, Alford Oden and Willie Oden all of Jonesboro; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Weston, Mrs. Margaret Lovins, Mrs. Ruby Davis and Mrs. Shirley Curtis, all of Jonesboro; one sister Mrs. Edith Sears of Jonesboro; one brother Arthur Oden of Rogers; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at Farmers Union Funeral Home Chapel. Buril will be in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
