WILL ODEN WELL KNOWN FARMER DEAD
W.S. Oden, age 59, who has resided for more than a quarter of a century in the Powell neighborhood a few miles northeast of the city, died this morning at seven o'clock as a result of a lingering illness with cancer.
The funeral will be held at Shiloh Cemetery tomorrow at eleveno'clock conducted by a friend of the family and layman in the church, Mr. Drew Powers. Gregg and son will have charge of the service at the grave in which the Odd Fellows Lodge will participate.
He is survived by his father, Gus Oden, his wife and four sons and one daughter as follows: oren, John, Vernon and Arthur and Mrs. Edith Dears ((Sears)). He was one of the best known citizens of that section where he had been engaged in farming the past 30 years, and had a wide number of friends.
