This indenture made this seventh day of January Eighteen Hundred & Nine, between Henry Knott of the State of No. Carolina Guilford county of the one hand & Justin Knott esq. of the other part & county , State aff, ? the 6. The sd. Justin Knott for given natural love & good will that I doth unto him as a son moreover other considerations of the sum of five pounds speci to him in hand paid by the ? Henry Knott the receipt wahreof is hereby fully acknowledged hat grandted bargained sold and delivered & by these present Doth give grant bargain sell and to ? in fee simple unto the sd. Henry Knott a a certain tract of land being ? & being in the Sd. county of Guilford on the waters Haw River and Belews Creek. Begining at St. Justin Knott corner black Oak on Travis Jones line thence east along the Clement own line to a branch the waters of Belews Crrk thence with the Various ? of ? Branch to Corner Poplar Thence Due south Crossing the Waggon Toad to Poplar by river on a brand the waters of haw River thence down said branch ? wullcok line formerlyy Patrick Morrows to a corner post Oak thence along his line to a corner poplear in a Branch hence the same course along Jehue Peeples line to his corner Spanish Oak west along his line to his corner Chestnut on a Ridgethence south one hundered and twenty six poles to his corner Black Oak Saplen near a branch

thence along his line west crossing a branch ninety two poles to the center of two black Oaks in George Cummings line thence along said Cummings line north crossing two branchs seventy nine poles to his corner chestnut thence the same course by a guiding line to a corner Black Oak on William Anthones corner Black Oak hence the same course along sd Anthonies line to a Black Oak on Travis Jones line thence east along sd Jones line to a white Oak in a ? thence north along sd Jones line to the first ?. being part of two surveys granted to Justin Knott by the state by a patent containing of three hundred acres by the same more or less to have & hold unto the Sd Henry Knott the above suscribed land & premises with all the ? ? titles and improvements with every ? ? belonging to have and Hold to the Sd Henry Knott his heirs & assigns forver the said Justin Knot doth hereby ? and agree to & Sd Henry Knott that he the Sd Henry Knott his Heirs and assigns shall & and may forever hereafter peacbly & truthful hold occupy posses and enjoy the aforesiad granted lands & premises without hinderance, molestation or any kind of incumbance from him the Sd Jusain Knott his heirs Extors, Administers & obliging himself of every one of them the Sd land & premises against themselves & every of them unto the Sd Henry his heirs & assigns to warrant and depend or ever in witness wherof the Sd Justin Knott hereunto sets his hand and seal the day and year first above. writted signed sealed Justain Knott
