William Knott Jr was born April 12, 1799 in Guilford county, North Carolina and died May 19,1888 in Farmington, Iowa. He married twice. Mary Ann Knott in 1836 and Faith Preddy on December 2,1819. Faitha died in childbirth in 1821. Mary was born 1808 and died November 30,1871. He had 11 children
