He married Susanna Morgenstern Haux the daughter of Mathis Haux and Susanna Morgenstern on August 8, 1804. She was born January 6, 1787 in Frederick county, Maryland and died April 20, 1867. Both are buried in Sears Cemetery, Todd county, Kentucky. They had 10 children.
